MOVEMBER is the promotional name given to the month of November, for the duration of which, men, nationwide, are encouraged to grow moustaches in order to draw attention to men's health issues. This allows the principal of the studio to expound his knowledge of music, its history, styles and techniques. This poster was developed to help the principle demonstrate his support of this worthy cause.
Mozart died at the very young age of 35. This makes him an obvious choice for the promotion of men's health issues. "MO" is common slang usage for "Moustache", The iconic image of Mozart was sourced from the public domain with the moustache being added by the designer. The contrast in fonts draws attention to the moustache whilst also emphasising the classical nature of the musician and his compositions.
The poster campaign for the Opera House has become a recognised feature of the studio environment and new posters are even anticipated by the studio's clients.
