We were assigned a dieline and were tasked with selecting the product inside and designing the package to sell the product.

Because my dieline is a short box with a horizontal opening and Halloween was around the corner, it occurred to me to package costume teeth. I wanted to push myself to create a set rather than one box so I created three different monster directions and ordered the goods. Inspired by vintage trick-or-treat bags, I designed illustrated duotone packages with kraft paper showing through as a third color.

The boxes relate to each other in style and content but each box advertises the unique teeth inside through their individual color palettes, illustrations, and names. The boxes are fun and inviting which makes them approachable despite the realistic monster teeth inside. The contrast attracts fiends that dress up for fun as much as fright.
