Explore the ways in which typographically-driven identity systems function seamlessly with in a variety of traditional and emerging media. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the unique opportunities each media-type affords through Print, Screen and Spatial contexts.

New Art City is a virtual space that provides online exhibitions for media artists. One of the biggest challenges the new art city faces is how to create a bridge connecting physical and digital space. When we talk about virtual space, the first thing that comes to mind is a cube. I still remember my first 3d modeling class started learning from a cube. In the famous world-building game Minecraft, users also use different textures of cubes to build up a space. This cube also inspires my whole visual system. I designed this blocky-feeling modular font. These blocky cube fonts create a flexible and interchangeable system, laying the foundation of New Art City, which will help different artists build their virtual space.

By using new merge technology through all the platforms, the New Art City will connect artists all around the world.
