Examine the role that exhibitions play in communicating knowledge and explore the variety of display methods within the language of exhibits. This project encourages to solve design problems for the Personal Expressions in Type exhibition by creating typographic solutions as the primary vehicle for expressive and functional communication. Several visual components will be designed to promote the brand identity of the exhibition.
Inspiration for this piece was 70s wall decor, it consisted of repetitive shapes that made unoque patterns. The focus was to use a set of shapes to not only create the type but for consistency matters, I used them to create patterns for the exhibition brand identity.
Consistency is key throughout all components of the exhibition, especially if you're thibking about large format pieces. Realistically , large format printing can make you see all the flaws that you did’nt see before so paying attention to all the small details is very important.
