Club des Hashischins is a concept for a cafe specializing in cannabis-infused coffee. It is named after the original Club de Hashischins, the Parisian group dedicated to the exploration of drug-induced experiences. Founded in the 1840s and located at Hôtel Pimodan, CDH was one part social club, one part science experiment and its main activity included drinking hashish-laced coffee. These meetings were chronicled by the attendees: Théophile Gautier, Charles Baudelaire, Alexandre Dumas, Gérard de Nerval, Victor Hugo, Honoré de Balzac, Eugène Delacriox as well as by Dr. Jacques-Joseph Moreau, a psychiatrist who observed the writers.
