The project was to create a poster series for a hypothetical event. This event was a poetry slam featuring three different poets called "Meaning, Sound, and Rhythm." These three poets were Edgar Allan Poe, Paul Laurence Dunbar, and Allen Ginsberg. The goal of the project was to represent each poet as well as the feel of the event.

My approach to this project was to represent each poet through layering type, image, and texture. I became knowledgable about each poet before creating each poster. After being educated about each poet, I was able to pick images that I felt would best represent them. I used layering of the three components mentioned to interact with one other to create each composition.

The response from the client was pleasant. They enjoyed the way that the type and image interacted beautifully to create each composition. The client also liked that the posters together were cohesive but each had their own unique representations of each poet.
