The Department of Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies at the University of California, Berkeley, commissioned imagery advertising their production of Caridad Svitch's play, "The House of the Spirits," based on the acclaimed novel by Isabel Allende.

"The House of the Spirits" is a magical realist family saga. The art was inspired by matriarch Clara, a seer whose journals keep the story—and lessons—of three generations alive, from beyond the grave.

The poster was executed in a mix of ink, watercolor paint, and vector art, and utilizes several weights of the typeface Rakesly, by Ray Larabie.

The art appeared in both printed and digital formats — posters, flyers, programs, and social media-ready images — that were dispersed on the university's campus, Facebook, and beyond. The resulting suite of collateral provided a consistent, recognizable, and professional identity for the production.
