To announce the installation of a work by renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly at Keeneland Race Track in Lexington, Kentucky. The work was a gift from Maker’s Mark to commemorate their longstanding partnership (the very first case of Maker’s Mark was purchased by Keeneland). The gift was timed to coincide with the running of the Maker’s 46 Mile, an annual Thoroughbred graded stakes race at Keeneland sponsored by Maker’s 46 Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky.

To give a taste of the sculpture without unveiling it in its entirety — the better to entice people to come see the work in person — we used a kaleidoscope effect and mirrored vintage drawings from the Maker's Mark archive.

Copious amounts of publicity before the event, and a sell-out crowd at the Maker’s 46 Mile.
