Elevate the art of the original Remnant and bring focus and clarity to it’s otherworldly characters; In order to do so, we expanded upon the color palette of the original game and focused on making each piece of Key Art unique to the creative and diverse biomes and locales throughout the game world. Each piece needed to showcase a deep world with supernatural danger brimming around each corner, waiting to be conquered by players and their friends.
We took deep dive into the established and extended lore of the world of Remnant, dissecting the brand bible thoroughly, and playing through builds of the game as development went on. We put a heavy emphasis from the beginning on fully understanding the world and its mechanics that we wanted to showcase. We received 3D models and assets from the dev team, and we accomplished an entire 3D pipeline from texturing, posing, and lighting these models to make living, breathing entities and environments for each Monster poster.
The crestive design that highlights the otherworldly enemies player will face in the game has helped lead Remnant 2 to reach a sales milestone of 1 million units sold in just 4 days after release.
