The launch of Tria’s Precision Hair Removal Laser required that our advertising accomplish three important goals. The first was to stand out from the crowd and create an arresting visual expression of our brand motto, “Beauty + Science.” The second was to convey product benefits and somewhat complicated technical features with an easy-to-digest and emotional product story. The third goal was to reinforce Tria’s brand credibility by looking like a true high-end beauty brand competitor within the beauty product landscape, especially when sitting next to ads from respected brands like Estee Lauder or Clinique in various magazine publications.
The Body Art ads for the hair removal lasers turned the female form into a work of art. This concept was a definite challenge considering the body parts to feature (underarm, bikini line and legs), but guaranteed Tria’s differentiation within the marketplace since no other company in the hair removal arena had tried this artistic approach. To ensure a flawless execution of our concept, renowned beauty photographer, Sarah Silver was hired to bring the ad to life.
The final photography and design execution delivered on all goals and above-plan sales results validated the effort to produce the work.
