After discussing the wants of the client, it was decided that a more modern, slightly abstract mark would work best. We wanted to call out the Bearpaw aspect, while also hinting at the mountains and lake in their area. The top half of the bear footprint are the mountains while the lake is the heel separated by the horizon line. For the type, we opted for a more strong, bold, no-frills typeface to reflect the client that would also not detract from the footprint.
