We were tasked with creating a concept based movie poster within the sci-fi genre.
Approach
I wanted to use the heartbeat monitor imagery as a universal way of symbolizing both anxiety and death. I found that tying in the movie title into the heartbeat itself not only was a subtle approach, but also projected a deeper significance. The "Alien" is literally the end of the lifeline.
Results
I'm proud to say this was well received by my instructor and classmates alike.
