For this project I had the goals of selecting the disability known as Cerebral Palsy and creating a UI wearable design that based on assisting for my target demographic. Through this main goal of needing to understand this condition I also needed to know how to create a wearable design that is meant to help those with that condition. While researching other already existing app and wearable UI designs to ensure that my work will stand out from the other competitions.

Through my work process and research I learned that Cerebral Palsy heavily affects one's mobility which can then translate to other difficulties in other areas like speech. While most already existing apps focused on educational services for very young children with this condition where this disabilities normally starts. I wanted to work towards my wearable to provide services and resources to the care takers that are with those with Cerebral Palsy. Since this is an untouched area and demographic. With that I wanted the look and feel to have a very simplistic and professional style.

The success of my project was to provide the ways that this hypothetical UI design can manage a direct line of communication and assistance for care takers. With this design I provided a schedule to provide assistance to the care takers with setting reminders and setting up tasks that they might normally perform. As well as provide a way that the care takers can communicate with anyone with Cerebral Palsy. Through the design of being able to call their care takers if they need help with mobility. As well as having a button alarm that the Cerebral Palsy individual can send to their care taker if they are in need of immediate assistance. It works similar to a life alert function but for the ability of having a direct line of communication in a simpler function for the care taker to interact with.
