Re-design of Eclectic magazine for Publication class.
This is a redesign of an international lifestyle magazine. Eclectic Magazine is a magazine that covers art, music, fashion, and the lives of those that produce it, from all around the world. The previous design of the magazine was lacking typographic attention, and the imagery and execution of the general feel was too strange to be globally relative. I approached the masthead, covers, layouts, and typography to continue to be slightly obscure, but international, dynamic, independent, and of course eclectic. This resulted in a more clean, approachable brand, and contemporary feel.
The re-design resulted in a more clean and contemporary display of global art and lifestyle. Typography and imagery became less distracting and more impactful through appropriate negative space, dynamic choices, and conceptually founded design.
