Anuket is the Egyptian goddess of the flooding of the Nile. The concept behind this design was to reinforce that connection between the goddess and the restaurant. Research revealed that one of the goddess's sacred animals was the gazelle, and the horns of the gazelle merged well with the form of a fork. The typeface "futura" mimicked the geometric qualities fo the mark. The colors chosen reinforced the conceptual connection to Anuket and Egyptian culture.
