Graphic Campaign for the Fallas from Valencia. During a few days in March, Valencia becomes an amazing open-air ephemeral street arts museum to celebrate spring’s arrival. Around 800 Fallas created using large wooden structures covered with painted papier-mâché conquer the city- these monuments, combined with music, pyrotechnics and traditional dresses all around creates this unique party. The last day, every Falla is burned. In 2016 UNESCO decides to list it a Cultural Intangible World Heritage.

The icons work as a peephole to frame different scenes from the Fallas made in papercut to connect with this handmade art. The slogans, “we are fire”, “we are gunpowder” “we are tradition”, “we are a team” and “we are emotion” appeal to the Fallas feeling.

This poster serie synthesizes a complex and diverse party with the ability to empathize with a very heterogeneous audience.
