After reading the supplied text, each student will thoroughly develop process inspired by the content of the article. Students will then design a two page opening spread to help visually communicate some idea of the text. The goal is to provoke interest. Students are encouraged to generate their own imagery.

My approach was to contrast the creepy, crawly aspect by creating a more feminine feel.

I incorporated my own hand piped type, a cupcake, and wood texture to make the spread feel more inviting and homemade. I also integrated my own photography of a live cricket sitting on a cupcake.
