Next Brand are responsible for the branding of a small digital audio studio – The Opera House. One of our strategies is to create posters for the studio, designed as conversation starters. This allows the principle of the studio to demonstrate his extensive knowledge of music, its history and its key exponents.
The poster is a deliberate parody of Cassandre's famous poster series for Dubonnet. These posters suggested a compelling play on words on two levels. In the first instance, the pun allows us to project Debussy, the great french composer. In the second instance, we were able to use Cassandre's own pun, since "Du Bon" translates to english as "Good"
Feedback suggests that the poster is effective in that it is creating interest and conversation in the studio.
