Sound Credit Union is a Western Washington based credit union. We were approached to help build brand awareness within the Puget Sound area, focusing on millennials. To reach this group, we created a targeted psychographic, digital media plan and nimble social content calendar based upon product seasonality. We also produced smart out of home and TV commercials that will run on Hulu to compliment the digital campaign.
Our creative messaging challenge was to take what most people consider dry "adulting" material--a relationship with their banker that helps them meet their individual financial wellness goals--and present it in a spirited way to give people a reason to consider switching to Sound Credit Union. We created a tone and aesthetic that embodies the caring culture of SCU and represents the human element that made the brand--and their bankers--fun and approachable.
Overall, the campaign was a big success for Sound Credit Union. In Facebook and Instagram, final numbers came in above categoric industry averages for engagement and conversion. Cross-device content lead to over 400 physical visits to their Western Washington based branches. It turns out, a little bit of quirk goes a long way!
