During this Covid lockdown, while looking at the wildfires in California, we thought about how everything seemed like it was in turmoil. When we designed this particular poster, we wanted to express that sense of turmoil, and the fragility of our lives. During Covid, we went for long walks, with a camera in hand. We came across a vast hill during one such hike where a forest had recently been cleared away, leaving only tree stumps and debris. It is this powerful image of this devastated forest that is the foundation of this poster along with some other images that came from our archives. Slightly tilting the image was the last thing we did to give the poster a sense of motion and tension.
