How do you compare yourself to something?

I spent a long time trying to figure out what object I could compare myself to. In the end, it seemed ridiculous to me to try to distill a person down to a single object, or even a series of objects. I decided to try to convey that people are complicated. We are a bunch of empty containers that fill ourselves up with less complex things to describe who we are in a simple way. But in the end, we're more than those simple things.

Most of the imagery is simple shapes or contextless forms. I wanted the only definitive imagery to be things that can be filled: things like hot air balloons and boxes. I explored the way both of these things existed in space, and the different ways I could express them being filled or emptied.
