Assignment
The brief was to produce the iteration of MICA’s Imaginary Museum. We as designers had to develop speculative museum concepts and then visualize aspects of these future institutions through logotypes, animated trailers, products, gallery diagrams, artefacts, experiences, etc.
Approach
Identity: The aim was to spark visitors’ inner playful adolescent through body play, object play and imaginative play. To engage young adults due to the exciting and fast-paced nature of them. A museum that gives the feeling of excitement and uncertainty together.
Experience: Walking through a space that has a plot (story building) start, (suspense) Climax, End (revealing suspense). The audience might get some hint cards along with tickets.
Results
Museum of Mystery is a mystery experience for individuals to escape the craziness
and bullshit of everyday life. It is a place for visitors to have meaningful and unexpected interactions with others, to engage in various playful games, and most importantly, to feel good about being silly. It will have a pitch-dark area to escape for which one will get clues. Clues will include the involvement of all our senses. Visitors need to hear the sound, touch things and taste it to get out of the mysterious room. Also, it will have an area that will have art pieces talking about unsolved mysteries.
