The assignment was to redesign a product of our choice.
Most feminine hygiene products have a very un-appealing, medical or overly feminine design that can be embarrassing for some people to buy. I wanted to redesign this tampon packaging to be more modern and simplistic as well as to not be overtly feminine. The organic shapes and light color palette, paired with the simplified type treatment and cylindrical container all give this product the organic feel the brand implies. The use of all of these elements allowed the product to stand out amongst the competitors on the shelf and be something that someone could display in their bathroom.
The outcome of this redesign was well received by both men and women. It made the topic of feminine hygiene less taboo to talk about or look at.
