The objective of this assignment for my Advertising 2 course was to create a series of 3 unique billboards for a particular food product. My chosen food product was Sriracha, and I focused on creating a new brand personality that would relate to our target audience of young 20 to 30 somethings who are beginning to cook on their own.
I wanted to bring a new personality to the brand, so that young people who are learning to cook would be interested in adding Sriracha to their meals. In order to do this, I created hand done typography out of the actual hot sauce along with design elements from the ingredients of the sauce. I wanted to depict the potential excitement that this product can add to a meal, and that is why the bottle is used, and the type is coming directly out of the bottle.
Overall, this project was deemed a great success! I enjoyed learning how to shoot food photography. My professor was equally pleased with the quality of the hand done type as well as my photography skills.
