Inspired by the approach and techniques revealed in the study of the work of Saul Bass, design a movie poster.
Approach
After studying the work of Saul Bass, I found that he was able to provoke emotions with simple imagery. He also never revealed too much about the movie, but just enough for the viewer to feel the suspense beforehand.
Results
For Trainspotting, a movie about heroin addicts, I chose to emphasize a popping vein on a forearm. The sharp edges of the vein's path create a crack, resembling the charcaters' lives breaking to pieces.
