MCA Denver's annual Luminocity Gala includes a collectible display piece that is mailed out to potential table sponsors. This year, EBD was asked to create an invitation featuring the museum's The Kids Were Alright exhibit of Ryan McGinley's artwork.
Approach
The invite features a gold lamé accordion fold book, nestled in a box with white fur. Inside, die cut frames feature an image that reflects the polaroids in the artist's MCA show.
Results
The invites stirred up excitement and anticipation for the Gala as well as Ryan McGinley’s upcoming exhibit. The result was a hugely successful and memorable event. The VIP invites also provided recipients with a keepsake invitation they could have for years to come.
