Every year the Basilica Block Party brings together two unlikely allies, live music and the Catholic Church. Rock&Roll and holly rollers joining forces for the greatest of causes - to fund the restoration of the historic Basilica of St. Mary in downtown Minneapolis.
To generate buzz for the Basilica Block Party, we got the word out by mixing a very traditional style - Church marquee signs - with non-traditional messaging that played on the natural tension between the Catholic Church and Rock&Roll.
Our OOH campaign spanned across the metro area with billboards, bathroom ads and more. We even took our campaign statewide, by bringing our BBP messaging to actual local church signs and local business marquees.
The result? The biggest miracle of all: The Basilica of St. Mary reached their funding goal and kept a historic part of Minneapolis intact for years to come.
