CBR Fashion Group is a fashion company that is synonymous with modern and stylish fashion in casual woman clothing. Each year, they are sending christmas cards to their business partners and clients. The cards are meant to show appreciation, warm wishes as well as the high quality approach of the company and fashion reference.
The Christmas Card’s general style characterises the entire communicative visibility of CBR which is very pure using colours black, white and green. As neither of these colours is christmassy at all, black paper has been chosen to represent christmas night and the card itself is showing the scenery of the night of Jesus Christ’s birth. The roof of the Christmas Crip is, at closer view, a clothes hanger (a quote to the fashion business). Mary, Joseph and Christ Child have been laser-cut to allow a glimpse inside the card. The stars above the crip have been glued on using real round Swarovski rhinestones (again, a reference to the fashion industry and the latest trend), the Star of Bethlehem is larger than the others. The paper being used is made of cotton because of the CBR’s textile business. The text inside the card draws a bow to the scenery on the cover.
In the two preceding years, a similar graphic approach has been made. The recipients of the christmas card appreciate this fact as well as the lavish arrangement. The materials being used, like the black and white cotton paper and the sparkling stars, the interplay of design and text as well as the overall layout have generated overwhelmingly positive feedback. The recipients felt appreciated, being sent such an elaborate card.
