For this project students had to work on a Remix concept of an existing well known app, including logo design and functionality. VikingBuzz is a Remix of Vivino but instead of marketing wine, it markets mead.
Approach
Vikings enjoyed strong alcoholic drinks and mead was among their favorites. Mead is the oldest alcoholic beverage in the world and is made from honey, water, yeast and occasionally fruits & spices. As its popularity has been increasing in resent years, the VikingBuzz app was created to help users find everything they need to know about mead.
Results
The app has a Viking/Nordic style and is aimed at a younger audience. It includes everything related to mead, from the history of the drink to a mobile marketplace to purchase it. It also advertises local meaderies and includes a social media platform, "The Longhouse," to meet and hang out with other mead lovers.
