To create this poster, I focused on using a process that would reflect my message as much as the message itself. I used a process called “Purell Image Transfer” which uses hand sanitizer to transfer ink from one surface to another - mimicking the way illness transfers from one person to another, through contact. Hand sanitizer fit the concept perfectly as well, especially as it has become such a hot commodity in the past 2 years. The message itself “We’re in this together apart” plays on the fact that while we are in this pandemic situation together, we are all very much apart from each other. All together, the type of poster is assembled to be messy and confusing - all together difficult to read or understand. Much like this difficult time has been for us all.
