Create a poster that addresses contemporary social issues that affect the world or a particular community.
Approach
I chose to focus on the inaccessibility of clean water for individuals living in slums in India. More specifically, I wanted to address the fact that slum dwellers often have to pay private providers an inflated cost to receive what should be a basic human right.
Results
This project was a success as it focussed on a specific community and provided contextual clues through the imagery. The typographic treatment and treatment of imagery is subtle yet delivers a strong, powerful message.
