As a farewell gift to George Strait, who is on his final tour, Joseph Braman Winery bottled their reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and asked Hawkeye to design a label worthy of Mr. Strait's departure from the stage.
Approach
Hawkeye discovered that George Strait had actually written specifically about this moment in his song, "Somewhere Down in Texas." Hawkeye used the lyrics from the song and styled the typography to be reminiscent of antique rodeo and old west posters.
Results
Production techniques such as debossing, embossing and foil stamping were used to give a "tip of the hat" to the quality of the artist and wine.
