The assignment for the Identity Project poster was to express how identity is manifested across multiple channels in our ever changing, networked, digital and physical worlds.
The direction that was taken was to juxtapose codes that make up our physical and biological identity (DNA, fingerprints, etc) with the codes that are at the core of our digitally networked identity. In order to hint at the complex ways that identity is recorded, traced and captured as codes of all sorts that are layered below and beneath imagery and typography.
Over the past twenty years I have designed many posters for the BGSU Fine Arts Center Galleries. This poster is one of the most well received by the Gallery director and the public at large.
