The image was created for the United States for Abortion, an initiative co-founded by the designer, which aims to offer abortion justice merchandise by design contributors from across the United States to represent Americans’ majority support for abortion rights. This poster is the Pennsylvania contribution.
Approach
The Liberty Bell is an iconic symbol of American independence, located in Pennsylvania. This design responds to the harmful and sudden elimination of abortion from the court’s interpretation of “liberty,” protected by the 14th amendment. The Dobbs Decision is a devastating blow to human rights.
Results
We will not have liberty, until we have the right of self-determination over our own bodies once again. In the meantime, this project increases the visibility of abortion justice support and donates to the National Network of Abortion Funds.
