For this assignment, we were instructed to create an advertisement for a snack company of our choice that encompassed the tone of the brand and was geared towards the brand's target market. To complete this ad, we were instructed to include each of the main elements of an ad, including A headline, subheadline, body copy, legal, central image, product inset, and logo.
To create this advertisement, I first completed extensive research and mind-mapping to figure out the target market and concepts that would appeal to them. Once this was complete, I knew that I wanted to showcase the health aspect of the brand as well as the positive branding of the company. Once I established the tone of the ad I moved to copywriting to create a fitting headline, subheadline, and body copy. My final steps for this ad were to photoshop the product into the model's hands and manipulate the color of her shirt and the background as well.
This project received great feedback from both my professor and my peers. The headline was the most liked part of the ad due to its relevancy and clever nature. I was complimented as well for my photoshop skills as well as finding the perfect image for the nature of the advertisement.
