Food Safety Information Service of Korea ask poster design for promoting a behavioral change through neutron education and information campaigns. I mainly focus on the dangers of fast food. Economic development and the changes of lifestyle towards a sedentary and urbanised society, led to a radical change in the food habits. This phenomenon, called the nutrition transition, together with the loss of the culinary traditions and the demand for low-cost products has led to a standardization of food and the loss of the concept of quality .
This project is a poster to inform the dangers of fast food. A typical meal, fries and a cheeseburger, from a fast food restaurant has amount of 1,000 calories. This is about half of the recommended dietary allowance. The tendency is for people to enlarge their appetites by eating beyond their limit, because of being afraid for the food to go to waste. This project shows an overflowing figure of fat by eating fast food through the method of playful, yet aggressive representation.
This project has two versions of poster, three dimensional and two dimensional design.Three dimensional poster consists of three papers printed stretched letters ’FAT’.The papers are flowing like a fat on human’s stomach. It is also intended to symbolized a hamburger as a typical fast food. When people touch rocking papers on the poster, it gives an unpleasant feeling. The two dimensional poster is for mass production.
