We began this assignment with type exploration—the "U" in CLUB suggested the bowl of a wine glass, so we pursued that approach. After looking at classic wine glasses online we found one for white wine that fit perfectly into the shape of the "U" of Requiem Display. A screen capture of the glass was used to make the mock-up complete with an ersatz refraction of the "N" in WINE. The client enthusiastically approved the concept, so the glass was ordered, an oaky chardonnay was bought, and the final glass of wine was shot in the studio.
