To create a logo for a versatile, high-end, industrial drone company. As far as identity goes, three words were thought of throughout to keep a consistent look and feel: Bold, Versatile, and Unlimited.
The direction was to market to a masculine client base. When thinking about ruggedness and badassery, the gladiator came to mind. When thinking about a drone and the company name "Eye Fly" the phrase bird's eye view came to mind.
A logo that has three main components. The first is that the whole logo looks like a gladiator helmet. The plume is conveying the motion of drone blades chopping through the air. The helmet itself is also in the shape of an eagle in profile. The bold type is ascending or taking off, like a drone. It is stylized to look slightly futuristic and avian.
