The Black Swan State Theatre Company’s 2016 season celebrates its 25th anniversary with a diverse selection of new, classic and award-winning plays, contrasting in moments of mysterious darkness and illuminating theatrical combinations.

Primarily created for use within the 2016 season catalogue to subscribers, each graphic is adapted to be used as promotional posters throughout the year.
Using the hidden places and secret spaces within the venue as a backdrop to the central theme, playful shadows cast subtle suggestions of the theatrical subtext revealed along the way. The actual shadow of the angel with her hands and arms touching the wall created a true shadow effect of the wings imitating her decent into the room.

While the show does not commence until the end of May, the poster image has been used as part the promotions for the year ahead and has generated a positive reaction from subscribers who have expressed their delight upon seeing it.
