Timex is an incredibly well-known brand, but many still do not wish to own a Timex piece because it doesn't have all the bells and whistles that more expensive watches have. This is what makes Timex stand out. The average customer doesn't need GPS tracking, altimeters, or 7 different buttons and timers. The average person needs to tell the time.
