For this poster, the following concepts and production were used as visual motifs to express the theme of a design workshop entitled 'Fieldwork: Observation and Record'. 1) There is no right perspective. When two or more new perspectives interact with each other, their perspectives are changed, newly interpreted and born. 2) When light enters through the lens, it reaches the inner retina and forms an image. When the stimulus is transmitted to the cerebrum through the nerve, an object is seen. 3) In order to maximize the above workshop concepts, silver foil printing technique was used. The silver foil printed image used in the poster changes in response to the view we see with the eye and the movement of the light.
The workshop was held at the Hyundai Card Design Library, conducted by a graphic designer, Daeki Shim, and assisted by an intern designer, Yonghoon Park. The starting point of the 'Fieldwork: Observation and Record' workshop is as follows. - “In seeking new approaches for opening expansive spaces and awakening possibilities, let us look to our way of seeing themselves, and how, quite literally, the means to create perspective lies right between our eyes... there is a difference between the view each process - thus there is no single, “correct” view. This becomes evident by looking alternately through only one eye at a time… and it is this displacement -parallax- which enables us to perceive depth. Our stereoscopic vision is the creation and integration of two views.
