What kind of a world would it be without the voices of our artists? — a bland one at best, a dark one at worst. Freed of the constraints of platitude and cliché, the true artist serves as a mirror of our common human condition — blemishes and all. One can only hope that these sentinels of introspection aren’t drowned out by the strident voices of less astute observers in this journey we call “life”.
“You write in order to change the world ... if you alter, even by a millimeter, the way people look at reality, then you can change it.” ― James Baldwin
