My approach was to typographically arrange text and letters from the poem "If" by Rudyard Kipling so that they're aesthetically pleasing yet functional.
Results
I varied the typefaces, sizes, colors, and applied shadows, transparency, and other effects when necessary to create a sense of balance and motion. Overall, I was very pleased with the outcome.
