The assignment was to rebrand the logo for Pandora’s Socks, an illustrated book for children that was on kickstarter. It features a young African-American girl with magical powers.
Approach
To build the logo, research was put in to find and sketch forms associated with magic and wizardry. This imagery would be combined with the logotype to emphasize the concept of the book.
Results
To help the logo or title of the illustrated book become visually related to the story, I used a witch’s or wizards hat. I then combined the hat with the “A” in “Pandora”. A star was added to make the hat more recognizable and emphasize the magical, ethereal plot of the story.
