WIP wanted to bring the heritage of the hotel to the fore: a hotel that had once housed artists such as Dali, Matisse, Renoir, Edith Piaf and Jacques Prévert and that is situated in a quarter that is steeped in French history already had a rich story to tell. The link with the artists and their era, the early 1900s, is reinforced by the logo: a ‘flattened’ three-dimensional logotype where letters are seen from different angles, reflecting the diverse viewpoints of the artists. Additional information is laid out in typical bistro or cafe style.
