The Cotton Bowl has been played for 85 years and this year the Cotton Bowl Athletic Association wanted to execute something like never before. For 85 years the game has delivered on its brand position "Like No Other". Our charge was to make something different never before seen in it's 85 year history. Challenges included incorporating the title sponsor, the venue and the action, while still making it uniquely the Cotton Bowls.
Our approach was to highlight the venue, include the sponsor and high light the fantastic plays that the game usually demonstrates. This year we highlighted a player literally making the fashionable yet difficult, one handed grab, while leaping out of the well known Dallas Cowboys AT&T Stadium, affectionally known as the "Death Star", while flying passed the Goodyear Blimp, all through a barrage of game ending fireworks. The Game has highlighted fireworks, the high stepping Rangerettes and so much more. A tradition in college football for 85 years Like No Other.
In a year rife with COVID induced game cancellations, the show went on. Oklahoma handily defeated the Florida Gators. The client and current sponsor did mention this is the best visual yet.
