I sought to create a landscape image that would be suitable for printing, but also useful for travel, or tourism. I wanted to find natural beauty that not only spoke to me, but created a sense of wonderment. As I investigated the fjords, I came upon this scene which did spark my immediate curiosity of, "What is it like to live here? Isolated, but surrounded by the majestic beauty of nature.

My approach was to keep revisiting the location until the sunlight and weather cooperated, evoking the mood I was looking for.

People have been very complementary of the image. Particularly, people that have not visited this area were awestruck with the idea of people living right on the coast of such majestic beauty. It stirred all kinds of questions to from How do they live? Is this accessible by car? How can I get there? So in that aspect, I think the image was very successful.
