Amity Link was the result of a collaborative project between selected Graphic Design Students and selected Interior Design students. The goal of the project was to create either a tattoo shop or pet store. Two interior design students were placed with one graphic design student to work with in a client/designer relationship. The interior designers acted as client while the graphic design student lead the branding process to meet the goals and ideas of the "client".
Due to Covid-19, the creative process was completely virtual. Over the course of one month, the interior designers and graphic designer worked in close communication through messaging and video conferences. The graphic designer provided a questionnaire for the interior design team to help ideate a name and brand voice. Once the name was decided upon, a joint moodboard was created, and the branding process began.
Overall, the project seemed to be a hit. The other teams spoke highly of the brand voice created by Amity Link, and the client/designer relationship was a great and successful learning experience for both parties.
