For this project, I had to create a company and three subsidiary businesses under it. Seven Records is a vintage record store under my umbrella company, Lucky Finds. Because these businesses are centered around buying vintage, I wanted to design these logos around the idea of "luck". Seven Records is located above a local bar and wants to attract audiences of all ages with a more simple and straight-forward design.

For this logo, I really had to capture the idea of vintage. I pulled this motif into the logo by choosing a typeface with a 70s feel and textured characteristics. I wanted to create simple but successful movement and personality to the logo, so the typeface reflects fluid-like shapes. This vintage style is paired with a sans serif typeface to bring in some contemporary elements for a fresh, non-dated look. The name "Seven" was chosen to bring in the idea of good luck when finding that vintage record you have been hunting for for years. The number 7 is a symbol of luck and a standard album record has a total of 7 tracks. I enjoyed putting in so much meaning to his logo design.

I think this logo was successful in appealing to different audiences, styles, and times that came together in a simple mark for a record store. I really enjoy the different style choices that further the meaning of the logo and goal of the business. I like that it reflects both the vintage and the modern.
