Franco Clivio collects everyday objects. These objects, often anonymously designed, pay homage to the ingenuity of craftsmen and engineers who provided solutions to a variety of problems. This exhibition is traveling through Europe. Franco Clivio asked G+A to plan the visual communication.
You don't have to add anything, the collection speaks for itself. For each stop – Winterthur, Lausanne, Milan, Bregenzerwald, Hamburg, Delft and Munich – we chose one different object representing the collection. Each object has iconic qualities beyond of what it is. One who is familiar with the object, sees just the object itself. Others who are not see faces, frogs, mustaches, funny haircuts ... Next stop Flims.
Flims is an important swiss tourist destination. As the exhibition is during winter season we chose lenses for ski goggles. Arranged like a butterfly it is a homage to a classic swiss poster from Augusto Giacometti.
